Pioneer Program
Workshop
On March 16–17, 2024, the second pioneer program workshop took place at the JAKET Future Life Institute in Guangzhou. It was a collision of wisdom and creativity, a fusion of imagery and ecology. Together, we witnessed how the Pioneer Program injects new perspectives into biodiversity conservation through the power of visual storytelling.
On July 3, 2025, after months of review and selection, six imagery conservation projects were finalized for the third round of funding and collaboration under the Pioneer Program.

On November 11, 2023, "Free Spirits: Yangtze Watershed" Conservation Image Exhibition & Public Talks on "The Conservation Stories Behind the Images" was hosted by Siliverlining Conservation in Kunshan, Jiangsu. The event aimed to promote biodiversity conservation, wild nature photography, and inspire public passion and awareness for nature protection. Event Review (Part 4) "Free Spirits: Yangtze Watershed" Conservation Image Exhibition & Public Talks on "The Conservation Stories Behind the Images" Experts, scholars, representatives from conservation organizations, and wildlife photographers were invited to share their experiences and insights on conservation. They recounted the stories behind their photographic works, fostering deeper reflection and action toward nature preservation. Event Review (Part 5) The competition received 354 submissions from various contributors, with many outstanding works winning awards. Siliverlining Conservation supported Chongming Dongtan Photography Competition Dongtan Nature Reserve Management Service Center, this annual public event was supported by Silverlining Conservation. On June 7, 2025, JAKET partnered with Silverlining Conservation to hold the "Making Conservation Visible" themed public lecture in Suzhou. Two years had passed, and the original aspirations of the past met the steadfast commitment of the present. Event Review (Part 6) Public Lecture: "Making Conservation Visible" While documenting and appreciating the beauty of the world, wildlife photographers and conservationists have become acutely aware that this beauty is under constant threat. Sometimes, making people see the problems is more important than showing them the beauty. In conservation, imagery may not directly provide solutions, but its unique documentary power can reveal the essence of the issues at hand.
